[..YouTube..] @warman0712 hands down, the TIberius 8.1. The T8.1 is a tried and true pistol that has been perfected from the T8, which has been out much longer than the TPX. The TPX is only 1st gen, maybe the next upgrade will put it alongside the TIberius models.

[..YouTube..] @wcpclan We were using Diablo Heat paint. It was around -2 outside. We did not get any breaks on camera, but some test shoots before the video, we had 1 or 2 breaks.

Really interested in this, but I think I’ll go the way of the 9.1 considering that it’s “upgradable”.The only thing I’d recommend you guys do is practice a tiny bit before you talk. “Ahhs” and “uhhms” will make viewers lose interest very fast. Of course, a lot of people (like myself) will still watch, but it truly does deter some.I’m subscribing; I look forward to future videos!

[..YouTube..] Great review. A honest review of the TPX. It’s a good effort by Tippmann but it falls short of the standard set by Tiberius. The TPX needs better mags, better construction, and some refinement inside to be a good pistol. Right now it’s just not cutting it. Subscribing.

[..YouTube..] @PvtDBJackson 100% right. It’s a nice pistol, but it’s just not there yet. We have been in contact with Tippmann about the pistol and they are looking to redesign the magazines for better disassembly and usability. For a mag fed gun, the mags should be the best designed part, not the worst. I’m sure we all look forward to seeing improvements!

[..YouTube..] I’ve heard of people having chopping issues with their TPX, but mine has been fine. I think you should have outlined more pros, such as the mags being much more affordable. Another thing to mention is that just because the TPX is made of plastic doesn’t mean it isn’t sturdy, it’s far from cheap plastic. Also, if you can change a T8 mag in a fire fight, swapping a Co2 in a TPX is just as easy. Just my opinion of course, but I think its worth noting for those who are trying to get all the details.

They seem to range from $40 less, to $40 more, (and I’ve yet to find a retailer selling them that much cheaper that looks like one I would trust.)Plus doesn’t the TPX come with 2 mags to the T8’s 1? And spare TPX mags are about 4 for the price of a T8 mag? You add that spare mag to the T8, and you’re right back up there with the TPX price, even with the cheap deals. (I’m still more of a fan of the Tibs, just hard to swallow the price to get one for myself.)

[..YouTube..] What do you have against the plastic? Is it a lesser grade than what they used in the old Triumph? It was an ugly marker, but I abused mine and that plastic took everything I had to throw at it with barely scuff marks, where as a metal body would have had all the paint chipped off and looked like something I pulled from the trash. I tried modding one, and the estimated 20 min of work turned to several hours with a set of files. Plastic doesn’t rust, and can absorb shocks from dropping it.

[..YouTube..] @Talroth currently in Canada, the T8.1 sells for $229 w/1 mag at most retail stores, and the TPX sells for $279 w/2 mags. You can get the T8.1 players pack for $289 and it comes with 2 mags, a mag holster and a pistol holster, so either way you’re getting a better deal with the T8.1. The T8.1 mags are more expensive because they are more durable, have valving built-in, waaay easier to disassemble and they also have FS round capabilities. The T8.1 mags are worth the extra cost for quality.

[..YouTube..] Paint breakage? Regulator Pressure Relief Valve Adjustment. Page 16 in the manual, check it out. Takes about 2 minutes to do and will fix that problem, as long as everything else is in working condition. Also avoid brittle paint, enough said.

[..YouTube..] @PurpleChris7, no, the chopping from this gun has nothing to do with the relief valve. It is an issue with the breach. Avoiding brittle paint is not an option, most fields do not allow users to bring their own paint, so you have to use whatever the field gives you.

[..YouTube..] heres what i don’t understand the Tiberius 8 is soo much better then the tpx and the tpx is probably the shitiest constructed gun ever in terms of quality ,and its still more expensive then the t8. I have shot the tpx before and i must say it is extremely inaccurate just as the a5 is, the t8 on the other hand is beautiful its accurate its durable and its well constructed not to mension it performs amazing as a primary weapon.

[..YouTube..] @TacticalNightmare92 The TPX was basically made to get a piece of the action that Tiberius is getting with the pistol line-up. The Tiberius pistols have been around for a while so they have been improved and perfected, whereas the TPX is still only the 1st gen and has a lot of issues still to deal with along with accuracy and consistency.

Plus ive used mine in numorus games and have never chopped paint. Bad review didn’t mention hardly any pros about it. and btw complaints about plastic quality??? thats just BS

[..YouTube..] @Nink7 if you plan to play like that, I would recommend the Tiberius 8.1. It is far more reliable, lower price, much much better built, more accurate and can use first strike if you ever decide you want to use them.

We don’t want to change anyones views, just giving people the knowledge they need before making a purchase. Wait and see for the metal mags, we’ll believe it when we can touch them.

[..YouTube..] You guys were very unfair on some things.. composite plastic is great, it doesn’t break easy AND it’s very light.. don’t know how you can complain about that; all-metal is pretty over-rated, you shouldn’t be slamming your gun hard enough to break composite plastic. The Co2.. if you run out in a big firefight, 1/4 turn – drop the empty out – toss a new one in – 1/4 turn….. it would take a moron to make that process long. That’s all I have the text to list, so just try to think in the future..

[..YouTube..] @Yumyumtuna the TPX itself is no lighter than a T8.1 and the T8.1 uses much much more metal then the TPX does. The Co2 is a pain compared to just ejecting a mag and putting a fresh one in. If you’re in a firefight that Co2 plug could be dropped and then you’re done for. Thanks for the comment, but we have thought of everything before we did this review. Tippmann did not design the mags well at all and the marker doesn’t work very good out of the box either.

[..YouTube..] Hey this review is not accurate at all. Don’t get me wrong the tiberius is a great gun! but the tpx is good too! The Field striping is not bad at all, if ya know how to do it. Its easy to learn. The tpx is so accurate shooting short and long ranges, great groupings! And the mags can hold 10 balls. But ya gotta use hard paint. I’d go into the field any day with this gun and I do!

[..YouTube..] @OnlyOneHighlander666, the TPX mag cannot hold 10 balls, I have no idea where you’re getting your information from. Paintball guns should be able to accept all types of paintballs, not just hard paint.

[..YouTube..] I’m getting this info from having a tpx and using it!!!!!! U pull the spring down on the mag then load 10 balls into it. Then put it in the gun. Balls will not warp because when you load the mag your probably gonna be using it soon, plus the spring dose not shoot up till ya put it in the gun. There’s many videos on you tube showing this.

[..YouTube..] @OnlyOneHighlander666 a lot of paintball fields require you to use their paint, regardless if it is low quality or not. The TPX mag does not hold 10 rounds, nor is it meant to if you some how managed to crush 10 in there.
