BT’s Newly Announced Markers
Hey everyone, so at last year’s Paintball Extravaganza, BT announced some brand new markers to be for sale some time in 2010 we all expect.
BT SA-17
The first of the two announced was a pistol named the “SA-17″, but this pistol is quite a bit different than the T8.1 or TPX because it uses a stick feed “magazine” that mounts along side the gun like a long bow mag, rather than a magazine that loads into the hand grip. If you take a look at the image, one of the features listed is that the breach is “sniper round compatible”. So either BT has made their gun compatible with Tiberius’s First Strike round, or BT plans to make their own version, which is unlikely.

BT Omega
The second marker announced is a full size marker named “Omega”. It looks to be an almost replica of a C7 (or US M16). This style replica is nothing new and has been done plenty of times before, but surprisingly BT manages to replicate the look of a real steel gun nicely and without causing legal issues. Other than the looks of this marker, there is nothing much different. Still a hopper fed marker with a fake magazine, it looks like BT is getting closer and closer to a more focused market. We look forward to seeing both of these new markers out for sale and give them the Modern Intel style reviews!

The Omega isn’t meant to be a state of the art marker that many of us who have been playing for a long time will buy. Its meant as an introductory milsim marker for the new player. Over all the body design is very nice, the internals are of a simple blow back design.
