Not really for me but I thought it would be cool if you guys did like a kind of "intro to woodsball" series where you go over tactics, strategies, different team positions, gear for each of those positions, how to play bunkers found out in the woods(e.g. a tree) and just a bunch of cool stuff like that.
Just a thought though

Sounds like a great idea. We'll be getting helmet cameras soon so maybe we can do some action video on strategies and whatnot!?

There is a section on team positions in the Recon Online website. It talk about various positions in a woodsball team, rolls and minor tactics. My question is: do players use these positions (Dagger, Sabre, Broadsword, Hammer etc) and to know what and how people play them, and, if so, how well does it work. Or do people just resort to the 'mob mentality' when players hit the field and 'contact' is made? Just want to know what and how people play? The saying about plans only lasting till contact with the enemy comes to mind…I would be interested from bot new and experienced players.
I myself tend to be a "Dagger" I tend to be far forward of the action and move as fast as I can, with generally a pistol and a light kit loadout. Problem is that in many senario and woosball games, I need really good suppression fire and it isnt always there. Many people tend to have blinders on and pick one spot and camp out. Then exchange fire with someone for the rest of the game. Forward momentum is slowed and I end up getting caught to far forward and then kind stuck myself. With a good, well trained group ( say 3-4) alot more can be accomplished. Continual training and playing is important….

Just checked out your site UrbanRecon. Curious as to what tactics you use and observations you have had?
