Yesterday was my first day playing with my new tac 8.1. I was playing pistol only. It was also my first day playing with my leafy bug guille suit. It was amazing! Having such limited paint made me focus so much more on tactics and stealth. The whole day I never had a gun fight with the opposing team. I always tried to move to a better position. I had to because I didn't have the fire power to compete. I loved the increased range of motion and speed. Most of the time spent in games, my tac was in it's holster and I was running and crawling with all fours. It was liberating. The weight difference was astounding. I felt like I was playing with nothing. I learned a whole lot after finally playing with my set-up. It's not the same as practicing at home. Here's what I found out.
Current set-up
shotgun belt
2 tac mags in tiberius pouches
7 8 round tubes upside down for fast reloads
4 CO2 12grams
drop leg holster
Problems
Shotgun belt crumpled from drop leg pulling on it
the mag pouches would "unvelcro" from to much hip and leg movement
the 8 round tubes tend to open with movements when upside down, turned right side up after first game
The belt set-up could work if reconfigured but a vest would be ideal.
The leafy bug suit worked beautifully. There were people on the other team talking about how "the guy in the guille" was invisible. I wouldn't go that far but I really did it's job well. The only issue with it is it's durability. I tore a little hole in the knee from sliding. It's an easy fix with some more durable fabric sewn in.
I can't wait to play again. I don't even want to play with my SP-1.
