I have a Tac8.1 with 2 extra mags and am currently using a shotgun belt to carry the mags, tubes and 12 grams. I often crawl on the ground and am afraid of dragging my gear that would be attached to my chest if I used a vest. I haven't played with the set-up yet.
The mags stay on my sides, the tubes on my back and the 12 grams, upside down on my front.
Those who use vests, are my fears justified? If you crawl on the ground, does it mess up your gear? Will the belt set-up mess up my gear?
Thank for your input and advise.

Just like in t-ball, it doesn't matter who wins so long as you had fun. But winning is cool too.

Ok i know what you mean and when im running my recon/sniper set up and postion im scared of this too, so i run a pod pack for my qpods on my back, also on that podpack belt are molle attachments to hold 10rs, pistol ect… I also see what you mean and ill tell you this. Go to a store or a website, i think fullclip is a good brand for this as we have a store by us and they have good gear, get a just regular molle vest of any kind, i would say a full vest. Then when your looking at molle attachments look for ones that have zippers or something, for example, my tac8 mag pouches have a strap which when you drop the mag in you then cover the mag and buckel it. So then when your crawling your gear is protected and the only thing that gets beat is your vest.
See the thing is i would rather wreck and dirt up my whole vest then wreck mags, or pistols ect… So buy pouches that have zippers or buckles..ect Things that you can put your mags or stuff in and then cover it up and that should do the trick when crawling around. Also i would like a belt system that everthing is on my hips or back when im sniping, because im always in prone and and dont like things poking me in the chest and stomach haha

So your mags arent in pouches?
If that's the case, I would recommend you get some mag pouches, but other than that, feel free to jump and crawl around as much as you want… Last year I crawled about 200 meters while dragging my mags and they didn't have any issues, but they were in pouches mind you.

They are mag pouches, but they have zippers and stuff so they dont open easy, also like i said thats what i mean if they are in pouches then the mags or stuff doesn't get damaged. I would rather a $20 pouche get wrecked then a $30 mag that i need in combat haha.

ok so your woried about your belt messing up your vest??
remember that many of the vest are a condura riostop material that is very hard to damage. and many of the vest are basically those that are sent over seas to the military. so that being said the vest are normally used with duty belts, and many people run drop legs. i do it doesnt affect my vest what so ever. you should be good, i might suggest you try and optimise your vest to hold yout t8.1 gear then you dont have to worry about it. but thats just a suggestion.

Yea, like kyle said most paintball milsim vest are real grade miltary stuff, so it can handle the crawling around and stuff, your best bet is just to spend money on a good molle vest with all the attachments you need.

I should have specified. I have the mag pouches that tiberius makes. The one that you get in the players pack. It's not that I think they will break, I'm thinking that sand might get in and then get into my gun when i reload.
To Urban Sniper:
I'm not worried about my belt messing up my vest. I don't have a vest. I was worried about which set-up would protect my gear the best. After what you said I know I can have a vest and belt and have no problems. Thank you.
To Aaron Hughes:
I'm glad to hear that they will survive. Did you find that sand and other stuff got in the pouches? Did your pouches have covers on them?
I really like that zipper/clasp idea. Are they more expensive than open top style, like the tiberius ones, or the ones with an elastic top?
Thanks for your quick replies. You guys are awesome.

The tiberius pouches are good, but they are open on the top. Think of this you are crawling and the mags have those open top on them, well they are also facing forward, so they could easily fallout, if i had the tiberius pouches i would sow the tops with clips or something to seal them tight so they dont fall out.
